About Us

Insurance Center of Harrisonburg was organized in 1988 as a spin-off agency from Layman Insurance Agency. The Layman Insurance Agency goes back to 1952 when Emory Layman was asked to be a representative for the local Mennonite Church-based sharing plans. Layman Insurance Agency was located in Park View from 1964 to 1994.

Insurance Center opened up initially at 2112A Port Republic Road. They moved to their present location at 981 South High Street in 1992.
